Overview
The American Heart Association’s (AHA’s) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course builds upon the basic principles of the AHA BLS Course and highlighting advanced assessments and managements of seriously-ill or injured children. The training in this advanced course focusses on systematic approaches to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and resuscitation team dynamics. This instructor-led course is conducted within the Clinical Simulation Centre’s simulation suites using various teaching modalities which includes AHA’s signature video-based practice-while-watching (PWW) and Megacode sessions using sophisticated task trainers and simulators to emulate clinical scenarios.
