Overview
The Advanced Life Support (ALS) course builds upon the BLS Course focusing on advanced assessments and managements.
This instructor-led course is conducted within the Clinical Simulation Centre’s simulation suites using various teaching-learning modalities which include classroom lectures, discussions, Megacode sessions using sophisticated task trainers and simulators to emulate clinical scenarios and debriefing sessions encourages active participation and critical evaluations.
- Conducted by experienced instructors from a wide background of clinical practice areas.
- Based on current resuscitation guidelines.
- Instructor led, hands on practical sessions reinforces skills proficiency.
- Course uses learning stations for practice of essential skills using simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active participation.
- Sophisticated simulators are used to simulate clinical scenarios for participants to interact with within learning stations.
- Participants who successfully completes the course and assessment requirements are awarded a certificate of completion.
